corresponding item. She can make copies of the food pyramid or copy
it to larger paper. |

she points to a food item as she sings its name. |

After singing the song, she reviews
the food groups with the students. |

She points to a food group on the chart
and name it in Spanish. For example, she points to the carrot and
says, "The carrot is a vegetable".
The students repeat. |

She continues saying various fruits
and the group to which they belongÖ "guayaba is a fruit, butter
is a fat, fish is meat, beans are protein, chocolates are candies." |

She says, "This is the bread
group, this is the vegetable group, this is the dairy group, this
is the meat and protein group." |

The teacher may ask the students to
mention foods in the sweet group. |

to identify foods in each food group.( five different food groups) |
