The teacher makes copies of the vocabulary and the list of questions. The questions are a list of yes and no questions that can be used to guess someoneís profession (attachment).
The teacher gives copies to the students.
The teacher picks two students. The students come to the front of the class and sit down in the chairs facing the rest of the class. The teacher says:
"Come to the front of the class and sit down."
Each of the two students is shown a card with a different profession.
Using the list of questions the students will ask many questions to guess the professions of the two students. The teacher says:
"Class, you are to ask questions from the list and try to guess the profession of each of the students."
The teacher explains to the class that in order to win the game they must guess the profession of both students. If they guess incorrectly they are out. The teacher says:
"If you guess incorrectly, I will write your name on the board."
The teacher writes the students who are out on the board. They will not be told if they guessed one correctly. The teacher should remind the two students not to answer right away when someone makes a guess.
The students should continue asking questions until someone guess both professions correctly.
The teacher could play this game again using three students the next day and four students the following day.
