The teacher will prepare flash cards (Attachment) with numbers the students have practiced in Spanish or of math problems (addition, subtraction…) The teacher will have the students sit on the floor forming a circle. The teacher will ask two students who are sitting near each other to stand up. The teacher will show the two students one of the flash cards. The student who names the number in Spanish or solves the math problem wins and continues to stand. The other student sits down. The teacher will ask another student to stand up to compete against the winner. The student who won stands next to the other student in the circle. The teacher will continue the game until everyone in the class has had a turn.
