Coquí Storybook
A WebQuest for Teachers
Internationalizing the Curriculum

Introduction
The coquí is a tiny tree frog native to Puerto Rico about which legends and myths have been told. It is used as a symbol for Puerto Rican pride and is evident in pictographs and pottery of the Taino natives.

Task
You are going to write a story about a coquí that your students will illustrate. In your story you will include appropriate facts about the coquí and stress the importance of saving its habitat.

Process
Begin by visiting the websites mentioned below and decide which facts about coquí you want to include in your story. You may choose to write the story in Spanish, in English or in both languages. Don't forget to leave room for your students' illustrations!
